Here's a gorgeous pair of heirloom quality lorgnette folding reading or opera glasses from the late 1800's.

They are in great condition, with only slight signs of age related wear. They are a light gold tone metal, with no visible hallmarks as to metal content or the maker. They measure 3 inches in length when closed, not including the bales. The adjustable chain is a bit over 19 inches in total length.
