We truly love this early 1930s floppy hat!  Tightly woven, black straw.  The top is open.  The wide brim is folded and secured in the front with the sides left floppy.  There is a black veiling wrapped around the top with a long, unstructured bow to the side.  We've included a hat pin for those windy days.
